The right school to enjoy , learn and improve you kitesurf skills in East Sicily
Do you want to discover Kitesurfing and learn how to master the wind? Your IKO Instructor will introduce you to the sport and teach you how to perform various skills on land prior to trying them on the water.
After this course you will have the knowledge, skills and abilities to Kitesurf anywhere safely and have great fun! At the conclusion of the course you will be given a debrief with suggestions on how to improve your skills and continue your adventure.
Private 1 to 1 session. Beginner and Advanced. Depending on your level of experience, your certified IKO instructor will teach you the basics of kitesurfing or show you new tricks. Lessons with surfboard strapless are also available.

Compared to other water/wind-sports kiteboarding is relatively easy to learn. The learning curve compared to windsurfing is faster, and the kiteboarder will be more advanced after their first course
So, can anyone learn to kitesurf? A person of any age, weight, height, gender, and physical strength can learn to kitesurf provided they are reasonably healthy, feel comfortable in the water, have decent aerobic endurance, balancing skills, and coordination ability.
Whether you are taking up kitesurfing as a new hobby or trying something new on vacation, from the shore it can seem quote difficult. You may be asking yourself, how hard is it to learn to kitesurf? Is it something that can be picked up right away or are you going to spend countless hours perfecting your new hobby?
Kitesurfing has a steep learning curve. It requires the combination of two skills, kite flying, and board riding, that you perform simultaneously.
Kitesurfing in Sicily is possible all year-round!
There are many different spots depending on the particular wind direction.
Wind blows all year-round. The most common wind direction is west and south-west which is also aided by thermal wind.
The best period for wind in all European spots is during summer time.
Temperatures range from 15 - 25 degrees C (69 - 77 degrees F). When Kitesurfing in winter time, no gloves, cap, or neoprene shoes are required, only a 4/3 mm wetsuit is required.
During summer time temperatures range from 30 - 42 degrees C (86 - 104 degrees F). No wetsuits are needed from July through September.
When we talk about Kiting in Sicily everybody thinks about Lo Stagnone in Marsala (a crowded shallow flat lagoon) few people know of east Sicily for kitesurfing.
70% of the time we are located in Granelli (southeast Sicily) where the ponente and libeccio blows.
The school is located in a strategic location because when there is no wind in Granelli, wind can be found only one hour away in Siracusa and one hour the other direction in Ragusa where 2 different winds (the Grecale and Scirocco) commonly blow.
Each spot is different, you can find and experience all the conditions to ride.
It is a paradise for wave riding and boosting big air tricks. In some spots you can also cruise peacefully with your foil.
All the equipment to enjoy the day with us is Included as Wetsuit, Lifejacket, Helmet, Kite, Board and Harness. Just Bring a swimsuit, towel, sun cream and a lot of energy :)

Usually we get a lot of wind but we will be 100% sure just few days before.
In case of no wind, we also offer different fun and interesting activities as wakeboarding, jetsky tour, mountain bike tour, sup cave excursion and more!
Mandatory insurance of 20€ required to rent the equipment, not necessary if you are already affiliated with us.
To rent the equipment you will be required to have an IKO membership card and an identity document which will be returned at the end of the rental.
